About this video
The Burst Effect is an Events action that throws a moment of celebration at any object: confetti, twinkling sparkle stars, coins that burst out and fly into a coin counter, a shockwave ring, a light flare, a single glint, or a row of one to three reward stars that drop in and stay. This tutorial builds a daily-reward card from scratch and fires every one of them in Play: Intensity from Subtle to Huge, an optional colour, bursting on a different object than the one tapped, and stacking two bursts on one tap. Bursts draw above everything, are sized from their target so they suit any canvas, and run the same in the exported HTML5 ad.

Tap the gift: confetti, and coins that fly into the counter. Tap Collect: three reward stars land, one after another.
That's the Burst Effect, an Events action. In the next few minutes: all seven bursts, intensity, colour, where they appear, coins that fly to a target, and reward stars from one to three.
I started this daily reward card from scratch: a gift, a coin counter, a stars panel, and a Collect button.

Select the gift, open the Events tab, and pick the Tap trigger. Then Add action, and choose Burst Effect.
Three fields. Where it bursts: Self, the gift itself. Which burst: Confetti. And how strong: Intensity.
Press Play, and tap the gift. Confetti, thrown up from the gift, fluttering down.
Now Intensity: Huge, and tap again. That's a celebration.
Subtle is a small pop, for a tap that just needs a thank-you. Intensity changes how many pieces there are, for confetti, sparkle stars and coins.
Next burst: Sparkle stars. A ring of twinkling stars flies out from the target. Good for a right answer or a match.
Sparkle stars take a colour. Empty means the effect's own colours. Pick one, pink here, to match a brand, and Reset takes it back.
Coins burst out of the gift, hang for a beat, and fly away. With nothing chosen, they fly straight up.
Choose where they fly to: the coin counter. Now they arc right into it, and the reward lands where the player looks for it.
Shockwave ring: one ring that expands and fades. It's quick, so give it a bright colour.
Light flare: a warm flash over the target, for a reveal.
Glint: a single four-point twinkle, for something shiny.
The ring, the flare and the glint are sized from their target, so intensity doesn't change them. Bigger object, bigger flash.
The target doesn't have to be what you tapped. Point the ring at the coin counter, and tapping the gift rings the counter instead.
And one tap can fire several bursts. Add a second one: coins from the gift to the counter. Now the ring and the coins go together.
Now reward stars. Select the Collect label, add a Tap event, add Burst Effect, choose Reward stars, and point it at the stars panel.
Three of three. Empty slots appear, then each star drops in, one after another, with rays turning behind the row.
Reward stars stay on screen: they're a result, not a flourish. Tap again, and the row is replaced, not stacked on top.
One of three is a narrow win. To award one, two or three by score, give each its own rule with a condition, as the hint says.
Three mistakes to avoid. One: a burst on every tap. When everything celebrates, nothing does.
Two: the big one first. Keep the confetti and the stars for the win, not the first tap.
Three: a dark ring on a dark card. A quick burst needs a bright colour to be seen.
Next up: Count-up, for animated scores, coins and prices.
That's the Burst Effect. See you in the next video!
