AI credits

How AI credits work

Every AI job shows its price before it starts, holds its maximum while it runs, and charges only what it used. This page lists what each thing costs, what each plan makes, and how to spend fewer credits.

How a job is charged

  1. 1You see the price first

"about 3-10 credits, never more than 25" - before anything runs.

  2. 2Its maximum is held

A job cannot cost more than it said, even if it runs long.

  3. 3It is charged what it used

Most jobs land in the "about" range. The rest of the hold returns at once.

  4. 4Failures on our side are free

An outage or timeout costs nothing. Free steps stay free.

Monthly credits renew with your plan and do not roll over. Top-up credits are used after your monthly credits and expire 12 months after your latest top-up. Exporting a playable or end card made with AI does not use your monthly exports while your plan keeps that AI result. You already paid for the AI work in credits. Top-ups are per plan and cheaper on a bigger one (0.18 / 0.14 / 0.10 a credit). Past a plan's top-ups for the month, the next plan up is the way to more.

How to spend fewer credits

  1. Tip 1Read the design before you build

The design step costs a fraction of a build, and so does each redesign after you answer its questions. Fix the idea there. Redoing a build is the most expensive mistake you can make.

  2. Tip 2Start from a template when one fits

A playable on one of our templates is about 5-10 credits; a brand-new game is about 25-45. The design step tells you when a template already does what you asked.

  3. Tip 3Edit by hand, for free

Everything AI makes opens in the full editor. Moving, resizing, retyping and recolouring things yourself costs nothing. Use the chat for changes that are quicker to ask for.

  4. Tip 4Ask small before you ask big

A small change is about 1-2 credits; rebuilding a composed playable is about 3-15. Try words, colours and settings first.

  5. Tip 5Go back with a restore point, not a new generation

Every AI change keeps a restore point. Restoring is free and instant. Generating again to get back to something you had costs the full price.

  6. Tip 6Change one thing per A/B variant

A copy, colour or difficulty variant is about 1-3 credits, and a single change is what tells you what worked. A new theme with new art is about 3-10; save those for tests where the look itself is what you are testing.

  7. Tip 7Use Economy for batches of variants

Economy runs variants in the background at about half the credits. Pick it when you do not need them in the next few minutes.

  8. Tip 8Translate last

Translate once the copy is final, so you do not pay for lines you later change. Lines our templates already ship, and lines you have translated before, cost nothing - into any of 17 languages.

  9. Tip 9Write a brief the AI can act on

Say the goal, the look, who it is for and how the game is won, or paste a store link. A clear brief usually builds on the first try. A vague one tends to need repairs.

  10. Tip 10Reopen from History

Results stay in History for 30-180 days depending on your plan. Open one again instead of making it twice, and save the ones you keep to the cloud.

Reading your balance

  • The credits chipAt the top of every page when you are signed in: your balance, monthly and top-up together. Click it for the credits window.
  • LowShown when less than a fifth of your monthly credits is left, so you can top up or plan around the renewal before a build runs short.
  • Where it wentThe credits window lists every job with what it held, charged and returned. Your account page shows the balance and what it still makes.

Questions

When do my monthly credits renew?

With your plan, each billing period. Monthly credits do not roll over; top-up credits do, and are used after the monthly ones.

What if a job fails?

If it fails on our side, such as an outage or a timeout, it costs nothing. If the request itself could not be made to work, you pay only what that attempt cost us, with no margin added. The rest of the hold comes straight back.

Why does a job hold more than it charges?

Before it starts, a job reserves its maximum so it cannot cost more than you agreed to. When it finishes, it charges what it used and returns the rest at once.

Can I see where my credits went?

Yes. The credits window (open it from the credits chip at the top of every page when you are signed in) lists every job with what it held, charged and returned, and every top-up.

Is there a free AI trial?

No. You can play and remix what we made with AI on the AI page before you choose a plan, and every plan has a 14-day money-back promise.
